Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb chicken breast, cubed
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tsp jerk seasoning
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
Lime crema - 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- Pinch salt
Directions
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes to prevent burning.
- Cut the chicken into even cubes so they cook evenly.
- In a bowl, whisk oil, lime juice, jerk seasoning, brown sugar, and salt.
- Toss chicken in marinade until fully coated. Let sit 10–15 minutes (or up to overnight).
- Thread chicken onto skewers, leaving small gaps for heat circulation.
- Heat the grill or skillet to medium-high. Oil grates/pans lightly.
- Cook skewers 10–12 minutes, turning every 2–3 minutes for even browning.
- Make crema: stir sour cream, lime juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Let skewers rest 2 minutes (juicier). Drizzle with crema and serve.
